Free Communication Assistance

The Alabama Department of Public Health offers free communication assistance to all clients. Free communication assistance is the use of an interpreter or other communication services to assist the participant in effectively communicating with bilingual staff. Learn more.

Children’s Immunization Clinic

Every Thursday by appointment, children from birth through 18 years of age are eligible to receive free vaccines through the VFC Program:

  • Medicaid enrolled
  • Uninsured
  • American Indian or Alaskan Native
  • Under-insured*
  • Children who have health insurance that does not include vaccines as a covered benefit may receive free vaccines through the VFC Program from a federally qualified health center or a rural health clinic.
