They are found in wooded areas in Africa, Asia, and America. The fruit can be eaten raw and is also used in juices, jams, and alcoholic drinks. In some regions of Asia the leaves are also cooked as a vegetable.
Ximenia Caffra
Ximenia Caffra fruits are native to tropical Africa. They grow mostly in East and Southeast African nations to include Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Uganda, and South Africa. This oblong fruit is less than 2” long and an inch in diameter, and is sometimes called the sourplum.
